Vucic from Brussels: Kurti did not accept any proposal, he asked for the impossible, sleepless nights are ahead of us
The President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today in Brussels after a meeting with EU representatives and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti that no agreement had been reached.
Vucic added that it was not clear why there had been no agreement, the Serbian side had been constructive.
"The texts that we accepted were changed ten times, but the Albanian side would always add something that was not possible. Today it is clear to everyone who was constructive and who strives for peace and stability," said Vucic and added that he would wait for the statement of High EU Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell and what his advice would be.
He added that he would address the citizens of Serbia after gathering all the impressions from that night or the next day.
"There are sleepless nights and many difficult days ahead of us. When you talk about the future, you have to respect those agreements that have been signed. That is a stumbling block. They want to respect something that was not even discussed. It will certainly not be easy in the future "I don't think we have any kind of tragedy, but it won't be easy," Vucic said.
He told the Serbs in Kosovo that the state would be with them.
"I can tell the people of Kosovo and Metohija that the state will always be with them," President Vucic said.
