Vucic: Kurti's behavior is an attempt to provoke a war conflict, EU statement is shameful
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic emphasized this evening, regarding the closure of Serbia Post branches in northern Kosovo, that Albin Kurti's behavior is an attempt to provoke a war conflict, and he described the statement from the EU External Service as shameful and rude.
"Kurti's behavior is an attempt to provoke a war conflict. We do not want war. We want to preserve peace. But he is doing this deliberately, organized, and with the support of certain Western powers," Vucic said.
In a statement to journalists, he stressed that the statement from the EU External Service is shameful and rude because it calls for talks about Kurti's repeated illegal and unilateral actions.
"They are calling for talks because of Kurti's repeated illegal unilateral actions. Next time, when he kills 20 people, we will again go to talk, no matter what stupidity he does, they call us to talk," he said.
He reminded that there is a telecommunications agreement, Serbia Post from 2015, which has been brutally violated.
"The text of the statement is intentionally softened due to two EU members who always soften all positions that should go against Pristina and Kurti and try to make us look like fools. I am very worried. I will not speak further because I am afraid I could harm the interests of the country and my people. I personally spoke with Miroslav Lajcak, conveyed an unequivocal message to them, and we will see what they will do. Very rude and inconsiderate gentlemen," he emphasized.
