President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, met with the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, to discuss the situation in Kosovo and ways to de-escalate tensions in the north.

On Instagram, Vucic emphasized that he had once again alerted Lajcak to the fact that the Serbian people had been subjected to torture and persecution in the past 15 years.

"I discussed with Miroslav Lajcak the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, ways to calm tensions on the ground, and the implementation of the agreements reached so far. I reiterated the demands for respect of their rights and security, highlighting that the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija have been subjected to the most severe torture and persecution in the past 15 years. I called on the international community to engage more concretely on all these issues," it was posted on the Instagram profile "buducnostsrbijeav."
