Vucic with Beyer: Kurti persistently avoids fulfilling obligations under the Brussels Agreement
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received Peter Beyer, a member of the German Bundestag and the Foreign Affairs Committee, today, with whom he discussed the latest events in Kosovo.
Vucic assessed that the situation unnecessarily escalated due to constant unilateral moves and provocations by Pristina.
"He also emphasized that Albin Kurti persistently avoids fulfilling obligations under the Brussels Agreement, primarily concerning the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities, which would bring a sense of security to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija," the statement from the Presidency said.
He also stated that Serbia remains committed to a policy of peace, stability, and regional cooperation.
The Serbian President highlighted that Germany is a very important partner for Serbia, not only in economic but also in political terms, and he thanked MP Beyer for his efforts to gain a more detailed understanding of the latest events in Kosovo.
"The two interlocutors also discussed the economic cooperation between Serbia and Germany, agreeing that it has made significant progress in recent years and that the arrival of German companies confirms the good business opportunities offered by our country," the statement said.
