Serbian President and the Serbian Progressive Party leader Aleksandar Vucic said today "to Pristina and to everyone else that the state of Serbia will not be handed to them on a platter, the way they would like it, and that Serbia belongs to its people."

"We have to save the country, we will succeed in attracting investments and in increasing the GDP, salaries, and pensions, and in increasing the standard of living, but we have to save our country," Vucic said at the SPS congress.

The president says that many illogicalities could be seen in the past days regarding the events in Kosovo.

"These western friends and partners of ours say that Pristina de-escalated the conflict since they had postponed the elections, and just 15 hours before that, they came with long guns to occupy four premises of the municipal election commissions in northern Kosovo. What, they didn't know 15 hours earlier what they were going to do?" Vucic noted.

He pointed out that they were arresting and harassing Serbs, and they also said that they were working on de-escalation.

"And then in the morning, they arrested Sladjan Trajkovic, allegedly accusing him of war crimes, even though he worked in the Kosovo police for almost nine years, and now he cannot contact his family, and he doesn't get his medicine. They called all day yesterday, there was no foreigner who didn't call and said - a terrible mistake and big destruction of democracy, the fact that Kurti's advisor or someone who represents their interests, and not the interests of their country and their people, waited at the administrative crossing for two hours. Imagine those terrible tortures, and then you realize that behind all that, behind those 0.1 or 0.5 percent are those who want the Serbs and citizens of Serbia to be the ones who will give the state of Serbia to them on a platter," Vucic emphasized.

"We will not give you the state of Serbia for anything in the world, don't dream that, you will never get it. The state of Serbia belongs to its citizens and this nation," Vucic stated.
