Young man detained in North Mitrovica for wearing a T-shirt with the inscription “No Surrender”

In North Mitrovica, one individual was detained because of the inscription “No Surrender” on his T-shirt, the Kosovo Police confirmed to Kosovo Online.

Lieutenant Erduan Baliqi, Head of Planning and Operational Assessment of the Kosovo Police Regional Operations for the North Mitrovica region, stated that a young man with the initials D. J. (2004) from North Mitrovica was detained due to what he described as a provocative inscription on his T-shirt.
As confirmed by the Police Station in North Mitrovica, the young man was issued a monetary fine under Article 11, paragraph 2 of the Law on Public Order and Peace.
“The young man with the initials D. J., born in 2004 from North Mitrovica, was detained due to the provocative inscription ‘No Surrender’. A fine was issued to him under Article 11, paragraph 2 of the Law on Public Order and Peace. The young man was taken to the police station and, after the fine was issued, he was released and allowed to return home,” Baliqi said.
