All polling stations in Serbia opened on time at 7 a.m., and there were no irregularities regarding the opening of polling stations, the President of the Republic Electoral Commission (REC), Vladimir Dimitrijevic, stated, as reported by Politika.

During the first press conference on election day, he explained that only three polling stations had encountered minor issues. In Zitoradja, at polling station 27, the location was changed due to a power outage, and in Sombor, polling stations 31 and 33 were moved to another room because a pipe had burst.

"As for the voting at the polling stations, the election boards gathered at the polling stations an hour before the opening, organizing the polling places. Before the voting started, they confirmed that the election material received was complete and correct," he said, as reported by Tanjug.

He reminded that 6,500,666 voters have the right to vote in these elections, with the possibility to cast their votes at 8,273 polling stations, including 29 in penal institutions and 81 abroad, in 35 countries.
