Eparchy of Raska and Prizren: Constitutional Court's decision implemented, process regarding 24 hectares of Visoki Decani Monastery's land resolved
The Eparchy of Raska and Prizren announced today that based on the cadastral extract, it could be confirmed that the decision of the Constitutional Court from 2016 had been implemented and that the monastery was recognized as the owner of the property that had previously been disputed in the Cadastre.
The statement further states that the long-standing legal process regarding the 24 hectares of land of the Visoki Decani Monastery has finally been resolved.
"The Eparchy of Raska and Prizren of the Serbian Orthodox Church confirms that the authorized representative of the Visoki Decani Monastery received today a valid cadastral extract with all the monastery's property at the Central Cadastre of Kosovo in Pristina, including the 24 hectares recognized by the Constitutional Court of Kosovo's decision in 2016. Based on the cadastral extract, we can confirm that the decision of the Constitutional Court from 2016 has been implemented and that the monastery is recognized as the owner of the property that was previously disputed in the Cadastre. With this, we can conclude that the long-standing legal process regarding the 24 hectares of land of the Visoki Decani Monastery has finally been resolved," the statement reads.
