The family of Dejan Pantic, who was arrested yesterday, in front of his wife, by the Kosovo police in Jarinje, did not have any information about him since the moment of his arrest and was worried about his health.

As family members told Kosovo Online, Pantic is a serious CVD patient, and just three months ago he had a stent implanted in Valjevo.

"He needs medication that he takes after the stent placement, as well as therapy for hypertension and heart failure that he has to take regularly. We are worried about his health. Since the moment of his arrest, the family has not had any information about him, his condition or his whereabouts and we don't have a way to deliver his medication. Even the lawyer we hired failed to deliver the medication to him," the Pantic family said.

According to them, even their lawyer failed to see Dejan Pantic and to get information about his whereabouts and what the police was charging him with, and Pantic was not given the right to be summoned after his arrest.

As they add, the only thing they know is what they heard in the media from Kosovo's Minister of the Interior Xhelal Svecla, who stated that Pantic was accused of "organizing the attack on the premises of the CEC in the north of Kosovo".

"We don't even know if he was taken to Pristina or escorted to the base in Leposavic, we can't find out anything. He didn't participate in any riots," the family said.

The family of Dejan Pantic emphasized that in addition to the stress they experienced due to the arrest, they were additionally upset because they did not have any information about him, and especially because they did not know how his health was, because of the heart problems he had, and he had been without therapy since his arrest.

"Dejan was without a blemish in his career and in his file. We expect him to return home soon and that this injustice or mistake will soon be corrected. We thank everyone who was with us, the people from the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and our fellow citizens for their enormous support ", the family says.
