Health condition of arrested police officer Sladjan Trajkovic worsened again

The health condition of Sladan Trajkovic, a former police officer who was arrested in mid-December and accused of war crimes, has worsened again.

His wife Suzana Trajkovic says in a statement for Kosovo Online that Sladjan confirmed that himself in a telephone conversation.

"We had a telephone conversation yesterday, and he told me that his condition is very bad, he has been vomiting and has had a fever for several days. He did not receive his medication, and during his last visit to the doctor three weeks ago, the doctor demanded that he stay in the ward, but that was not approved because the guards did not have the manager's approval," Trajkovic says.

She notes that she will visit him tomorrow and that the witness hearing is scheduled for Thursday.

"Tomorrow, I am going to the regular visit that he is allowed and to which he has the right. An appeal for house arrest was rejected again. A hearing is scheduled on Thursday, at which the prosecution's witnesses should be heard, which was already postponed once because the witnesses did not come then, and I doubt that they will appear now. That is just buying time and prolonging Sladjan's agony," Suzana Trajkovic concluded.
