According to the data of the Kosovo Police Union, 140 police officers have left the institution since the beginning of this year, and some of the reasons given are low pay, lack of health insurance and transportation, Klan Kosova reports.

According to the Union, Kosovo police officers have not received a new uniform for several years, which should be renewed twice a year.

The Union adds that they have presented all the problems to Minister Xhelal Svecla and they are waiting for his reaction.

Only yesterday, 311 more recruits joined the KSF, while 70 soldiers left the army.

According to retired general Dzavit Gashi, it is necessary to find out other reasons, besides low pay, why soldiers leave KSF.

He adds that it is expected that members of the police will leave their jobs in even greater numbers.
