Serb arrested in Jarinje yesterday released today

A former member of the Kosovo Police, Miljan J., who was arrested yesterday at the Jarinje administrative crossing, was released today.

As his wife confirms for Kosovo Online, Miljan J. called after being released from Severna Mitrovica and confirmed that he was on the way to his home in Leposavic.

He was arrested around 18:00 yesterday at the Jarinje administrative crossing when he was returning from Raska to Leposavic with his wife and two children.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija provided a lawyer and all legal protection for the arrested person immediately after the arrest.

The Kosovo Police announced yesterday that he was arrested on suspicion of being connected to organized crime.

As lawyer Dejan A. Vasic, who was hired by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, told our portal, Miljan J. was arrested by mistake.
