Pristina is celebrating today in a festive atmosphere the 15th anniversary since the Kosovo parliament declared independence, with the flags of Albania and Kosovo on the streets, visible security measures, and a large number of members of the police and the Kosovo Security Forces.

Residents of Pristina went out to the streets in greater numbers due to the sunny and very pleasant weather for this time of year. Their comments on today's anniversary are different.

Xhemila Berisha, a nurse with 34 years of work experience, says that she is not satisfied with the current situation in Kosovo.

"It's a bad life, it's not good here. There's no work, no wages," Berisha told Kosovo Online.

On the other hand, Ilir Hamidi from Pristina told us that he was satisfied.

"It's great for me, we are satisfied with everything. I will spend the day with my family in Pristina", Hamidi told us.

His fellow citizen Ismet Citaku sees things similarly.

"Everything is good, life is going on. Today I will spend the day enjoying myself," Citaku said briefly for Kosovo Online.

People from the diaspora also came to Pristina to celebrate February 17.

"God grant that the situation will improve, that there will be peace, that there will be no quarrels, that people will live freely. This is Europe, I don't know what else to tell you," one citizen of Kosovo who lives in Switzerland said.
