The President of the Provisional Authority of Leposavic Municipality, Zoran Todic, confirmed for Kosovo Online that the night in Dren village went peacefully, and that around 300 residents were still gathered, but also that the works would not be continued until further notice.

"The night went peacefully. A large number of people, about 300, were gathered. About an hour and a half ago, about fifteen vehicles of Special Police units and five vans moved away from the location. According to the information, that is, the information given to us by Kosovo Police Lieutenant Colonel Veton Elshani, the works will not be carried out today, or as he says, the works will not be carried out until further notice," Todic said.

Todic added that there were still construction machines and Kosovo Police members in the village area.

Residents of Dren gathered yesterday to stop the works on the road that leads from the highway in the direction of Leposavic to Zaselje in Lesak village and the hill where the illegal land expropriation took place.

The coordinator of the action, Kosovo Police Lieutenant Colonel Veton Elshani, said that there would be a border police station and that the Police were only implementing the Government's decision.
