Visoki Decani: Disappointing silence of international representatives in Kosovo regarding the ban on the SOC patriarch

The insolence of the Government of Kosovo towards the leader of the Church, who repeatedly called for a peaceful life of Serbs and Albanians and appealed for peace, as well as the too loud silence of international representatives in Kosovo, are deeply disappointing and do not contribute to building trust, according to the post of the Visoki Decani monastery on Twitter.

The monastery's announcement states that on the day when most Christians in the world celebrate Christmas, the patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the spiritual father of ten million Christians around the world was brazenly returned from the administrative crossing and was banned from entering Kosovo and visiting his historic monastery.

"Unfortunately, no Kosovo or international representative has condemned such a decision by the Kosovo authorities, which is against Kosovo laws and based on unfounded accusations. This reflects a serious level of religious discrimination in Kosovo," the announcement states.
