Gashi: Clark’s testimony will contribute to the truth, he is a very important defense witness for Hashim Thaci

Wesley Clark will be the final defense witness in the case against Hashim Thaci and others before the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, and lawyer Tome Gashi believes that his testimony will help, as he says, to establish the truth.

“Well, I think we all know that Wesley Clark was the general who bombed Serbia in 1999 because of the war crimes committed in Kosovo. I believe he is one of the very important defense witnesses for Hashim Thaci and the others who are on trial before the Specialist Court. I think he will help the court establish the truth regarding this indictment that was filed more than five years ago,” Gashi said.

He noted that Clark was the NATO Supreme Allied Commander during the bombing of Serbia and that this makes him a very credible witness.

“For that reason, he is in fact one of the witnesses proposed in this Specialist Court by the defense,” Gashi said.
