The judge of the previous proceedings, Nicolas Guillou, rejected the request of the defense of the former Kosovo president and former leader of the KLA, Hashim Thaci, who requested that eight former diplomats be heard as witnesses in the proceedings against him before the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, Reporteri reports.

Stephen Bennett, Wesley Clark, Jock Covey, Michael Durkee, Daan W. Everts, Bernard Kouchner, William Walker, and another unnamed diplomat were supposed to appear as witnesses before the court.

On September 30, the Special Prosecutor's Office filed a confirmed and amended a ten-count indictment against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi,  charging them with war crimes and crimes against humanity.
