Shahini: Messages from London are clear, the region must accelerate economic integration and continue its path toward the EU

President of the Kosovo Business Alliance, Agim Shahini, told Kosovo Online that the messages from the Western Balkans Summit held in London as part of the Berlin Process are clear – the region must accelerate economic integration, strengthen mutual trust, and continue on the path toward the European Union.

Shahini emphasizes that the Summit placed special focus on the Common Regional Market, the green transition, and better economic connectivity.

“Financial infrastructure and the exchange of credible data among the countries of the region represent key prerequisites for trust, investment, and sustainable growth. Our contribution to this process will be the creation of a Western Balkans Credit Bureau Platform, the development of a regional framework for green finance, and support for labor mobility through financial services,” Shahini stressed.

He adds that although there are obstacles, from differing regulatory standards to political disagreements, he believes that joint efforts can lead to concrete results by the next conference.

“The Kosovo Business Alliance will remain a reliable partner to institutions and the private sector in building a stable and interconnected regional market,” Shahini concluded.
