Arrested Albanian in Bujanovac, suspected of terrorism

Members of the Security and Information Agency, Criminal Police Directorate and Asministration for Fighting Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on the order of the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime, in a coordinated action, arrested A.B, of Albanian nationality, in Bujanovac, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he had committed a criminal act of terrorism, it was announced tonight from the Security and Information Agency, RTV reports.

A large amount of weapons, 10 rifles, one sniper with a silencer, one scorpion with a silencer, a kilogram of explosives, as well as a large amount of ammunition were found with the suspect.

It is suspected that the weapons were acquired through illegal channels, and that the suspect's intention was to further transport the weapons to the territory of Kosovo.
    
Suspect A.B. was ordered to be detained for up to 48 hours and he will be brought to the competent prosecutor's office with a criminal report, the statement added.
