Haradinaj: Kurti is wrong, deadlines must not be set for KFOR

The president of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, says that the statement of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti regarding the deadlines he gave to KFOR is wrong because their mission in Kosovo is pure because Brussels and Washington are friends and allies of Kosovo, Klan Kosova reports.

Haradinaj said at the press conference that "the war-mongering platform of Aleksandar Vucic and his men in the north crosses red lines".

"The situation in the north of Kosovo is becoming more and more serious and complicated. The war-mongering platform of Vucic and his men set up in the north crosses the red lines. He must immediately withdraw his men from the north and order the removal of the barricades and return to the negotiating table. He cannot challenge Kosovo, which is committed to peace. The logic of using military means to create a stronger position for the mutual recognition agreement in relation to Kosovo is a chapter that was closed in 1999," said Haradinaj.

He said that Prime Minister Albin Kurti and his statements complicate the situation.

"Unfortunately, neither Kurt nor his men behave properly. Their reckless actions and statements, continuously in these three months, have only worsened the situation. The NATO peacekeeping mission in Kosovo is not foreign, so it cannot be considered as such. No deadlines can be set for KFOR. Their mission in Kosovo is as clear and pure as a tear. Neither Washington nor Brussels are Kosovan parties. They are allies of peace and security in Kosovo, and the prime minister should give up the rhetoric of opposition to them. The future of Kosovo is eternally connected with the Western allies, especially with America," Haradinaj said.

Haradinaj asked "the Kosovo Serbs not to fall for the political calculations of Vucic and anyone else".

"I also have a request for Serbs from Kosovo. Don't fall for anyone's political calculations, not even Vucic's. Don't be collateral damage. Your future is in Kosovo, in peace and harmony with everyone else, so leave the barricades," he said.
