The three young men arrested on Sunday near the Visoki Decani Monastery for displaying the phrase "Kosovo is Serbia" on their license plates have been ordered by the Basic Court in Pec, Decani branch, to be held in detention for one month, as reported by a Kosovo Online correspondent.

The three men from Niksic – Rajko Krivokapic (34), Marinko Jovanovic (24), and Dragutin Lalatovic (24) – were detained on Sunday after the celebration of the patron saint day at the Visoki Decani Monastery.

Attorney Jovana Filipovic stated yesterday that her clients had not incited hatred or intolerance, as alleged by the prosecution.

"They had a sticker with the inscription 'Kosovo is Serbia' on the frame of their license plates. However, the sticker was covered by another strip and was not visible. Their car was parked in the parking lot in front of the Visoki Decani Monastery, and it is unknown how the sticker became uncovered. It is now up to the authorities to determine how this happened and who is truly responsible for the removal of the strip covering the inscription," Filipovic explained.
