Pristina residents: May the best candidate win
Residents of Pristina interviewed by Kosovo Online said they expect the formation of institutions and a return to normal life after the elections, while some believe Kosovo will head to the polls again before the end of the year.
Ejup Cirimi expects institutions to be formed after the elections and life to return to normal.
"We are now in a position to exercise our democratic rights in this way. Regardless of the fact that we may have gone a little overboard with elections, this is a system that functions," he said.
One citizen believes Kosovo will hold another election before the end of the year.
"I do not expect anything special; I think things will remain the same. We will go to new elections again," he said.
"May the best candidate win," one Pristina resident said briefly.
A Pristina resident who cast his ballot at the Faculty of Law said there are good programmes and political parties, but that he is sceptical about their implementation.
"Expectations are high, but how much of it will actually be implemented remains to be seen. There are good programmes and good parties," he said.
Another citizen stressed that the best party should win.
"May the best party win; we all hope for something better," he added.
"I always hope for the best," one citizen said briefly.
