Dusan Radakovic of the Democracy in Action (DnD) organization told Kosovo Online that election day began peacefully and without major problems, but noted that polling boards at polling stations in Serb-majority areas include members of the Albanian community who often do not speak Serbian.

He pointed out that delays in the opening of polling stations were recorded in the areas around Leposavic and Zubin Potok, and that some polling board members representing Albanian parties arrived later.

"Everything else started without any major problems, and I can say that so far it has been a peaceful day," he said.

Radakovic added that at certain polling stations, despite the electorate being predominantly or entirely Serbian, polling boards are composed of members of the Albanian community who often do not speak Serbian.

"These are the usual problems we face, to which the CEC has shown little understanding. Other than that, there have been no significant issues so far," he stated.

Radakovic announced that vote counting in the four municipalities in northern Kosovo will begin tomorrow at 9 a.m.
