The Director of the Post of Serbia, Zoran Andjelkovic, stated today that the removal of Cyrillic traffic signs by the municipal authorities in Zvecan was a continuation of provocations by Kosovo's Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, against Serbs in Kosovo, with the aim of drawing Serbia into a conflict with NATO, Euronews reported.

Andjelkovic pointed out that, although Kurti comes up with new provocations in northern Kosovo every day, the Serbs in those areas are aware of this.

"The question is not who is bothered by Cyrillic signs, but rather who is bothered by the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija. Once again, the answer is clear: everything Christian in Kosovo and Metohija and everything with a Serbian prefix bothers Kurti's regime," Andjelkovic emphasized to Tanjug.

As he reminded, three crosses near Gracanica were recently set on fire as a message that Christians are not welcome in Kosovo.

The signs with Cyrillic inscriptions, "Welcome to the Municipality of Zvecan" and "Have a safe trip" near Zvecan, were removed yesterday. New signs were installed, featuring large Albanian text first, followed by smaller Serbian text in Latin script and English. In the Serbian inscription for "Have a safe trip" (Srećan put), the letter "ć" was incorrectly replaced with "č."
