Another ambulance has been kept in Jarinje; they don't let KM registrations even from November pass
The ambulance from North Mitrovica has been at the Jarinje crossing since noon because the Kosovo police do not allow the driver to pass, with the explanation that his registration with the KM license plate is not valid since it was extended on November 26 last year, a few days after an agreement on this matter was reached in Brussels.
After the sudden decision of the Kosovo police not to let cars with KM license plates into traffic, which had their registration extended in the previous month, there is additional confusion in Jarinje today, as reported by a correspondent of Kosovo Online.
Serbs from the north who drive cars with KM plates can extend the validity of license plates without any problems, according to the agreement from Brussels on November 23, but the Kosovo police suddenly unilaterally violated that agreement. According to the latest news from the crossing, they are now not accepting any vehicle with KM plates whose registration has been extended after November 23.
As a reminder, the agreement was that Belgrade would not issue new license plates and that Pristina would suspend the implementation of the decision on mandatory re-registration to RKS license plates until further notice. The validity extension of old license plates is not disputed by the agreement, but apparently, Pristina abandoned this agreement unilaterally.
At the moment, as reported by the correspondents of Kosovo Online, traffic with KM license plates has decreased in the north. Such cars appear in small numbers in Jarinje because there has been a lot of confusion, and people do not know how the Kosovo police will react, since they have changed the "rules" several times in the last few days.
