Bislimi: No agreement was reached on the license plates
The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo and the main negotiator in the dialogue with Belgrade, Besnik Bislimi, said that there is no agreement between Kosovo and Serbia regarding the license plates, Periskopi reports.
Bislimi stated that yesterday in Brussels he met only the special envoy of the European Union for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajcak, and denied the writing of some media that the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and the chief negotiator of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, also attended the meeting.
"The meeting in Brussels was only between me and Lajcak. Every journalist who reported on the events in Brussels conveyed misinformation, I did not meet Petkovic because he was not in Brussels," Bislimi said.
He added that, within the dialogue, the normalization of relations is the first topic to be discussed.
"Our position is that four important things for dialogue have happened in the last four months. With the conversation held on August 17, Kosovo and Serbia agreed to discuss normalization and that is the first topic that should be discussed," he said.
When asked by journalists what will happen after Monday, November 21, when fines will begin to be issued for all those who have not re-registered vehicles with the RKS license plates, Bislimi said that "after Monday, Tuesday comes," Reporteri reports.
"I'm not Nostradamus, I'm the deputy prime minister," Bislimi said.
