British Embassy: Police action in the North poses a risk of escalating tensions

The British Embassy in Kosovo has expressed concern over yesterday's action by the Kosovo Police and Tax Administration, which resulted in the closure of six branches of the Postal Savings Bank in northern Kosovo.

In a statement posted on the social media platform "X," the embassy highlighted that this action poses a risk of further escalating tensions and jeopardizes the resolution of currency issues in Kosovo.

"We urge the Kosovo authorities to coordinate their actions with international partners and to engage constructively through dialogue with EU support to resolve such issues," the statement read.
