Elezi: Kurti endangers the security of the entire Balkans by closing the Postal Savings Bank
Security expert Bedri Elezi says that Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti has created a conflict with the United States that could harm international efforts to ensure security not only in Kosovo but also in the entire Balkans, Gazeta Blic reports.
Elezi emphasizes that Kurti is in conflict with the US and points out that he is the only prime minister who has not yet visited the White House.
"From a security standpoint, specific actions by the Kosovo Police in closing the Postal Savings Bank, which served for payments to Serbs in four municipalities with a Serbian majority, could be risky. Such a situation would suit Serbia more than the enforcement of laws in Kosovo," Elezi said.
He adds that Serbia is desperately seeking a serious security situation.
"It persistently tries to influence the efforts of Kosovo institutions to enforce the law. We are aware that this situation greatly harms international efforts to ensure security not only in Kosovo but also on the entire Balkan Peninsula," he stated.
