President of the Serbian Assembly, Ana Brnabic, conveyed to reporters after meetings in Berlin that in all discussions with German officials, she heard Germany's clear stance - the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM) must be formed.

"Germany's position is that the Brussels Agreement must be implemented, that there have been enough delays, and that the CSM must always be at the top of the agenda. I hope this will be demonstrated in practice in the foreseeable future, despite a delay of more than 11 years," Brnabic told reporters in Berlin.

Brnabic assessed that Germany views the Declaration from the All-Serbian Assembly one-sidedly, as separatist intentions, and unfortunately, does not see anything else in the entire complex situation.

"It needs to be explained that the Declaration we adopted at the All-Serbian Assembly primarily calls for peace, stability, and respect for all war victims in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnia and Herzegovina). It is also a Declaration that calls for respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement. The Dayton Peace Agreement speaks of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a state with two entities - the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Srpska - and three constituent peoples, with a Presidency consisting of three members that must consult on all foreign policy issues of Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Brnabic.

She reminded that Serbia is one of the signatories of the Dayton Peace Agreement and seeks its full respect.

She added that this is not often heard in Germany and that meetings like these are necessary for this reason.

"To open all these topics without any fear and apprehension of difficult issues, to lay all the cards on the table, and to explain. Serbia has nothing to hide. Serbia should be proud of everything we have done, including for regional peace, stability, and connectivity. So, I tried to highlight those aspects," added Brnabic.

Open and honest discussion with the President of the Bundestag

Brnabic stated on Instagram that the most significant meeting during her visit to Germany was with the President of the Bundestag, Bärbel Bas.

"I am glad that we had a good, open, and honest discussion about our European integrations, the reform process, and the rule of law, as well as the current situation in relations in the Western Balkans region," Brnabic wrote.

She added that Serbia sees Germany as one of the most significant partners, with which it wants to work on preserving regional stability.

"We considered various ways in which our two parliaments can establish closer cooperation because, as I told Ms. Bas, my two main priorities are internal dialogue in Serbia and strengthening parliamentary diplomacy," stated the President of the Serbian Assembly.
