Bystron: Olaf Scholz's Government the least popular; Berlin works in the interest of the United States
The President of the Foreign Policy Committee of the parliamentary group Alternative for Germany (AfD) in the Bundestag, Petr Bystron, stated in an interview for Kosovo Online that the German Government had abandoned the post-war foreign policy of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries and now represented American interests, including in the case of Serbia.
"The problem in recent years is that the current, as well as the previous government, have abandoned the successful post-war policy characterized by great politicians who did not want Germany to interfere in the affairs of other states. This is a globalist government that advocates not German but American interests. Interference in the internal affairs of Serbia is one example, and this is primarily done because of Kosovo, a US protectorate where the second-largest US military base in Europe is located after Ramstein", Bystron explained.
Commenting on the statement of the member of the ruling Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Bundestag, Michael Roth, after the elections in Serbia, Bystron noted that the same pattern was always applied, as in other countries.
"Serbia is not an exception. The same pattern is used, as was used in Ukraine with the 'color revolution' on Maidan. Opposition is prepared for the overthrow of the government with the help of intelligence services. Then it is said that they are the only democrats. This was also seen in Belgrade. The elections ended with a clear result. Vucic received twice as many votes as the strongest opposition list. It's not about 0.5 percent here. The election results are clear, and despite that, following the familiar pattern, they immediately began to challenge the legitimacy of the vote. A handful of people protesting is presented as a significant opposition, and foreign visits to the opposition are organized. This is a familiar pattern that citizens have seen through, and they should view events in this way and stick to their policy", he stated.
When it comes to the current events in Germany, particularly the protests by farmers, he emphasized that citizens took to the streets because they were "up to their necks" and dissatisfied with the government's policies.
Statements from the ruling parties that suggest that the AfD is behind the protests with the intention of overthrowing the government, he finds amusing.
"It's quite the opposite. The AfD is a party that stands on the side of the protesting citizens. They are demonstrating because they are at the 'breaking point'. Most of the problems in Germany have been caused by the absurd sanctions against Russia, and the associated rise in energy prices, which have led to a massive number of bankruptcies and inflation. The protests were triggered by the fact that the government went bankrupt and is now looking for where it can get money", Bystron pointed out.
According to him, the Government went bankrupt because it is financing a "crazy war" in Ukraine with billions of euros and now says it needs to find money by eliminating tax breaks for farmers that they had enjoyed for decades.
It is actually about the fuel prices, or more precisely, a part of the tax collected for the use of highways, which now farmers are required to pay. This is why they have decided to take to the streets, joined by others who no longer want this government.
Bystron believes that the government in Berlin has a plan to destroy German agriculture because it follows the interests of globalists.
Similar protests, he notes, have occurred in the Netherlands and can be seen in France, while the Poles are expressing solidarity with the demonstrators in their own country.
"The Government in Berlin does not want strong farmers who produce food in their own country because that strengthens the sovereignty of a state. The intention is to import food", he added.
Bystron emphasized that many wanted early elections because this government was the least popular in the last few decades.
"I fear they will cling to their seats. They ignore the protests, hoping the issue will just disappear. They have even initiated a media 'counter-campaign' a few months ago, trying to stage a scandal just to divert attention to something else", Bystron said, alluding to accusations that the AfD, along with right-wing groups from other countries, intended to expel millions of migrants.
In response to the question about the attempt to ban the AfD, he states that they will not succeed.
"We are the most successful new party in post-war Germany. We have entered all regional parliaments, the Bundestag, and the European Parliament, displacing the 'old' parties. That's why they hate us and do everything to stop us, but they are not up to our arguments. Therefore, they try to criminalize us and then ban us. They did that in the past with the 'Republicans' in the 80s and then with the Free Citizens' Alliance in the 90s. With us, it's not possible because we are too strong and have channels of communication with the citizens, who see it as government propaganda", Bystron said.
In this sense, he pointed out that even supporters of the Greens had started voting for the AfD, which had not been the case before.
Regarding the recent tweet from the AfD about three Serbs being violent in a hospital in Germany and the demand for their expulsion, he said that the AfD was a party that represented German citizens.
"We are a party for all citizens in Germany, and we do not have divisions between left and right; it's just up and down, and those at the top are globalists who rule against the people. The German Government has distributed 60 billion in aid worldwide. Also, the Government spends 50 billion on migrants in the country, some of whom came illegally, and the same Government now says there are not a few million for German farmers. We are the only party that says all foreigners who have violated the law must leave the country. If they do not adhere to our laws, they have no place with us. Unfortunately, this time it was Serbs, which is not a common occurrence. In the criminal statistics, predominantly, there are more Afghans, Syrians, etc.", he added.
When asked if he was afraid that Kosovo citizens, with visa liberalization, would flood Germany, he said:
"They are not the problem. There are not as many of them as we have already imported from Afghanistan. They will be just the icing on the cake".
