Canaj: CSM is not against the Constitution, Kurti must outdo himself

Former diplomat Blerim Canaj says that the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities is not against the Kosovo Constitution and that the ball is in Pristina's court, Ekonomia Online reports.

Canaj said for "Politiko" that Albin Kurti must outdo himself in order to form the CSM.

"We know that the international community has been waiting for a long time for a draft that is in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo, so no one has asked for anything against the Constitution. And we also have the statements of emissaries who said that. The ball is in our court, it just depends on whether we oppose it or not. If we stop and think about Kurti's contradictions and building his political career, he should outdo himself because he has three names on monuments because of the CSM, and we know that it is difficult for him," Canaj said.

He also stated that the CSM should not be compared with the Republic of Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina because, as he said, it was not the same, citing the political circumstances in which the RS was built.
