The Albanian journalist and analyst Frrok Cupi said to ABC News that the suspension of visa liberalization for Kosovo was a "100 percent" expected decision given the measures taken by the USA and the EU against Pristina. He added that this was a minor issue compared to the disaster that would happen to Kosovo with the Government of Albin Kurti.

"It is very serious news for Kosovo, and for us too. A serious news for peace in the region and for behavior in the region. How expected was it? It can be said that it was 100 percent expected due to the measures the EU and the US have taken against the Government of Kosovo. I believe that lifting visas and free movement is so serious, but in the meantime, it's one of the small events that will happen to Kosovo. With this Government, major disasters will occur," Cupi said.

He adds that first and foremost, Kosovo will be isolated from the Western democratic world, all projects for democratization and development of the country will be narrowed, and the citizens will face poverty.

"Other perspectives are even darker if the global trend takes the direction applied to Palestine and Israel. The Government of Kosovo has no conscience towards its people and plays its own game regardless of the interests of the citizens," he noted.

Referring to the reaction of Kosovo's Foreign Minister Donika Gervalla after Macron's statement, Cupi said that Kurti, along with his Government, deceived Europe and the citizens of Kosovo.

"The very word the Minister wrote, which means a great deal, is a terrible and sad thing for the citizens. The President of France strategically chose to come to Tirana at such an important moment, and news arrives about the disruptors of peace in the Balkans," he said.

Cupi noticed that even Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic had not wanted to meet with Kurti, sending him a message that she did not want to meet him, but his citizens would suffer as long as he behaved this way and deceived Europe.
