Albanian analyst Frrok Chupi estimated that the visit of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti to North Macedonia had shown that he wanted to present himself as a leader, to be like his Albanian colleague Edi Rama, but that he could not do that, pointing out that the events in Tetovo where the "Greater Albania" had been promoted, had been planned in advance and that such things were done by politicians whose careers were declining.

Cupi told Albania's ABC News that Kurti and Russian President Vladimir Putin were the only politicians isolated by the West.

"Kurti's behavior in Tetovo has nothing to do with the 'Greater Albania', but it can cause other damages. First of all, we see him as a leader who is not satisfied with his country, and the fights he led there. Such leaders try to do the same in other countries. They are mostly at the end of their careers. Extreme leftists do it all the time, i.e. make a mess in the country and go out to ask for European support. There are only two politicians in the world who are isolated by the West, Putin, and Kurti. While Putin goes to India, Kurti tries to score some points in Tetovo. What happened there was planned. Kurti is trying to become a leader, to prove that his voice has power, like Mussolini's, for example, to prove that he is like Edi Rama," Cupi states.

He points out that with his behavior, Kurti created a very big quarrel with the Government in Skopje, because he went "there and played the role of the leader of Macedonia, he even named a street after his friend".
