Slobodan Cvetkovic, Minister of Economy in the Government of Serbia, met today on Capitol Hill with US Congressmen Robert Aderholt, John Moolenaar, and Tracey Mann.

As stated in the announcement, they discussed further congressmen's support for Serbia's economic development and support for enhancing the legal framework for cooperation to maximize business and investment facilitation in both directions.

Cvetkovic presented Serbia's potential and emphasized that Serbia had one of the most conducive investment environments in Europe.

"Serbia remains one of the global leaders in attracting investments, as evidenced by the numbers showing that our country attracted over 32 billion euros in foreign direct investment from 2012 to the end of 2022. Our country's economy is geographically well-positioned, with significant investment in infrastructure. Additionally, we have an attractive and stable business environment, political and energy stability, as well as a quality workforce, well-educated, particularly engineers and IT professionals," Cvetkovic said.

Cvetkovic invited the US congressmen to visit Serbia and bring business people from their states who intend to invest in order to further strengthen the economic ties between the two countries.

The congressmen expressed their commitment to supporting those who sincerely worked to establish stability in the region. As they said, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is recognized as a reliable partner in the United States. They expressed great satisfaction with Serbia's dynamic progress on the economic front, which, as they noted, sets a real example for the entire region.

During the meeting, Minister Cvetkovic presented US diplomats with an interactive photo monograph, "Tesla," about one of the greatest Serbian scientists in the world.
