Dacic with Baerbock: I hope for Germany's support for the implementation of existing agreements from the dialogue

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, said today that he hoped that Germany would have a balanced approach and that it would provide constructive support to the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, with a focus on the implementation of existing agreements, and above all on the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, RTV reports.

In addition, he says, it is necessary to avoid unilateral moves and not to support Pristina's unreasonable demands, such as membership in the Council of Europe and the EU, which, he claims, contradicts the agreed framework for reaching a solution.

Dacic said this after a meeting with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock on the sidelines of the 29th OSCE Ministerial Council, reads the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.

The head of Serbian diplomacy pointed out that Serbia advocates that the high level of political dialogue achieved in the previous period be continued and intensified, and that there will soon be an exchange of visits by ministers of foreign affairs.

Dacic thanked Berlin for the support it provides on our European journey, and the interlocutors agreed that not only should political dialogue be continued, but the development of comprehensive cooperation, including economic cooperation.

Dacic mentioned that Germany is Serbia's most important economic partner and one of the biggest investors in the Serbian economy, as well as that German companies in Serbia currently employ around 78,000 workers.

When it comes to other forms of cooperation, the two ministers pointed out that there was a lot of room for further improvement of cooperation in terms of energy diversification, in the area of ​​environmental protection and climate change.
