Dacic with Peach on the situation in Kosovo and the state of the region

The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, held talks today with the UK Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Stuart Peach, regarding the situation in Kosovo and the state of the region.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, both sides assessed that the bilateral relations between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Republic of Serbia were good, with a special emphasis on their long tradition, and it was noted that there was additional room for improving cooperation.

Dacic and Peach exchanged views on the situation in Kosovo and the state of the region.

"The British interlocutor stated that his country fully supported the KFOR mission in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244", the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia said.

It was noted that international organizations played an important intermediary role in crisis situations, among which, due to the scope of its work and global influence, the activities of the UN stood out.

They also discussed the upcoming OSCE ministerial meeting in Skopje on November 30 and December 1, emphasizing the importance of Serbia's role in this organization.
