Delevic: The Court of Appeals confirmed the extension of detention for Tolic, Spasojevic, and Maksimovic for another two months
Lawyer Milos Delevic stated for Kosovo Online that the Court of Appeals had confirmed the decision of the Basic Court in Pristina to extend the detention for two more months for three Serbs - Vladimir Tolic, Blagoje Spasojevic, and Dusan Maksimovic, who had been arrested after the conflict in Banjska.
Delevic, who is the defense attorney for Vladimir Tolic, said that he had received the decision to extend the detention today via email.
"This means that the decision is now final. They will remain in detention for another two months. We expect the prosecutor to inform us about the further steps in the investigation", Delevic said.
He reminds that the initial detention for the three arrested Serbs was first set for one month, and it has now been extended for an additional two months.
The Basic Court made a decision to extend the investigative detention on October 20, and the defense filed an appeal, which was rejected.
Tolic was remanded in custody on September 26th for 30 days, and the Kosovo prosecution accuses him of "committing a terrorist act".
One-month detention was also ordered for Dusan Maksimovic from Banjska and Blagoje Spasojevic from North Mitrovica, who were also arrested after the incident in Banjska.
Dusan Maksimovic is charged with the criminal offense of "preparing terrorism", while Blagoje Spasojevic is suspected of committing the criminal offense of "terrorism".
