Kosovo’s participation in a peace mission is very important and when the Kosovo Security Force is close to the United States, it always has the necessary capacities, political analyst Armend Demaku told Kosovo Online regarding Pristina’s decision to join Indonesia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, and Albania in sending troops to Gaza.

Demaku states that when it comes to such missions, “Kosovo’s army has the capacities, and participation would usually be within a bloc of certain states.”

“I believe that Kosovo should be supported by the Trump administration and that in this case it would not have to pay. It is important for the Government to make a decision to guarantee this mission, which undoubtedly has significance for Kosovo, especially within the framework of security,” Demaku says.

However, Demaku sees a potential problem in sending members of the Kosovo Security Force to Gaza.

“However, Mr. Kurti tends to create institutional blockages at decisive moments and it would be better if this time he acted more reasonably on issues that are in the country’s interest and set aside populism, which may bring him votes from a dysfunctional part of society, but isolates Kosovo and delays it in integration processes.”
