Djuric with Ambassadors of Russia and Belarus: Pristina’s plan to build two bridges over the Ibar is a security threat

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Djuric, met today in Belgrade with the ambassadors of Russia and Belarus, Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko and Sergey Malinovsky.
The meeting covered a range of multilateral topics, and the Serbian Foreign Minister thanked Russia and Belarus for their principled stance on the issue of Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, emphasizing the importance of the support Serbia receives from these countries in international organizations.
Minister Djuric paid special attention to the situation in Kosovo, particularly in the context of Pristina’s intention to construct two new bridges between the northern and southern parts of Kosovska Mitrovica—an act directly contradicting the outcomes of the Brussels Dialogue.
Furthermore, Belgrade views this unilateral move by the provisional institutions in Pristina as a potential threat to peace and security in Kosovo, Djuric stated.
He added that when this is combined with the new wave of politically motivated indictments against Serbs, “it becomes clear that this is a far-reaching scheme orchestrated by Albin Kurti’s regime, aimed not only against the Serbian people in the province, but also against the international community and its efforts to maintain peace in Kosovo and Metohija.”
