China continues to unwaveringly support Serbia on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, assessed Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric during his visit to China, which he described as of historic importance.

Djuric stressed that the visit to China is of historic importance, because it comes after President Xi Jinping's historic visit to Serbia and that it rounds off a fantastic year of Serbian-Chinese cooperation.

"Here in Beijing, we were received very warmly, fraternally, and friendlyly. I had three-hour extensive consultations with Chinese Minister Wang Yi. We talked about implementing projects worth billions of dollars and which mean additional growth and development for our economy, science, technology, and culture," said Djuric.

He emphasized that 300 Serbian students will come to China to study at the expense of the Chinese state at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.

"We are realizing the development of economies, the development of science and technology through better integration," he said.

Djuric emphasized that mutual support was also discussed when it comes to territorial integrity.

"China continues to unwaveringly support Serbia on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija," said Djuric.

With the Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of Serbia, Djuric also discussed party cooperation, because as he points out, this represents an important component in the cooperation between the two countries.

He conveyed the greetings of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Milos Vucevic.

"We expect that in 2025 we will continue accelerated cooperation and Serbia will remain a firm and consistent friend of the People's Republic of China in the European context, as a country advancing towards the EU, and we can count on China's full support in all international forums, and this is extremely important news for Serbia, that in this turbulent time of global turmoil we have a global superpower as a firm support for our efforts in all strategic directions," said Djuric.

He emphasized that friendship with China is important for achieving all of Serbia's strategic priorities and that he is delighted that this visit successfully rounded off an extraordinary year of Serbian-Chinese cooperation.
