Djuric congratulated the US on 250 years of independence: We look forward to building a strategic partnership

Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric congratulated the people and the government of the United States on the 250th anniversary of the country's independence.

Djuric said that for 145 years, Serbia and the United States have shared a friendship built on common sacrifices, enduring ties between the peoples, and a belief that partnership can overcome even the greatest challenges.

"As we celebrate this historic milestone, Serbia looks forward to deepening our cooperation and building a strategic partnership that delivers lasting peace, security, and prosperity for future generations. Happy Independence Day," Djuric said.

The congratulatory message, posted on the social media platform X, was accompanied by a short video showing scenes of American cities, as well as meetings between Serbian and US officials, displayed on a mobile phone screen.
