Djuric meets with Li Ming: Expresses gratitude to China for its principled position on Kosovo

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Djuric, met today with the Chinese Ambassador to Serbia, Li Ming, and on that occasion expressed his gratitude for China’s principled position regarding the issue of Kosovo.
Djuric thanked China for its consistent support of Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, emphasizing that such support is equally important to Serbia both bilaterally and within international organizations.
Ambassador Li Ming presented Djuric with a congratulatory message from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the occasion of his reappointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Djuric expressed his gratitude for the kind wishes, highlighting that one of his priorities in the upcoming mandate will be the continued strengthening of Serbian-Chinese friendship and the deepening of cooperation, both politically and economically.
Noting that the cooperation between the two countries is characterized by an intensive political dialogue, Djuric stated that Serbia is committed to enhancing the comprehensive strategic partnership, adding that the exceptional relations between Presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Xi Jinping make a special contribution to the "ironclad friendship" between the two countries and peoples, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Serbian Foreign Minister also noted that Chinese companies are making a significant contribution to Serbia’s development, and expressed particular satisfaction that economic cooperation is being realized in the fields of road and railway infrastructure, energy, and investments.
