The Ambassador of Serbia to the US, Marko Djuric, accompanied by the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, and basketball players Nikola Jokic and Deni Avdija, attended the first Serbian Heritage Night held in Washington.

Djuric stated on Instagram that the arena where the Serbian Heritage Night was held had been covered with Serbian flags, and those present had enjoyed Serbian music and the traditional dance "Kolo".

He thanked the Serbs living in America, the collaborators, and the Serbian Cultural Center "Opancici" for the unforgettable experience.

"Last night, at the first Serbian Heritage Night in Washington, we joined forces with our friends from the region in cheering for both Avdija and Jokic; we covered Capitol One Arena in Serbian flags and enjoyed the sounds of Serbian music and the dance "Kolo". Thanks to all Serbs, to the Serbian Cultural Center "Opancici", Mrs. Biljana Soldo, and my colleagues from the Embassy of Serbia in the US for making last night an unforgettable experience for all of us," Djuric said.
