The Ambassador of Serbia to Washington, Marko Djuric, pointed out that the world must not forget the pogrom against the Serbs in Kosovo 19 years ago, reminding that 10's of people were killed, many people were injured and driven from their homes.

"Let the world not forget this day when 19 years ago there was a heinous mass crime, large-scale violence and ethnic cleansing of the Serbian population in Kosovo and Metohija, known as the March pogrom. Dozens of people were killed, hundreds were beaten and wounded, and more than 4,000 were driven from their homes, six towns and 10 villages were completely ethnically cleansed and nearly 1,000 Serbian, Roma and Ashkali homes were burnt to the ground, World Heritage sites and UNESCO sites were destroyed, hundreds of church properties and medieval monuments were desecrated and destroyed, 35 Orthodox churches and monasteries, as well as thousands of religious and cultural artifacts," Djuric said.

He also reminded that the perpetrators and actors of, as he stated, the heinous crime, were not prosecuted.

"Sadly, the wheels of justice grind slowly, as the perpetrators and responsible actors enjoy impunity to this day", Djuric pointed out.

Along with the text on Twitter, he also published three documentaries about the March pogrom in Serbian and English.
