Djuric on Turkish arming of the KSF: A step back in efforts to normalize relations in the region

Serbia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marko Djuric, strongly condemned the decision of the Turkish authorities to deliver 1,000 drones to Kosovo, stating that this represents a step backward in efforts to normalize relations in the region.

In a post on the social network “X,” Djuric described the move as a unilateral and illegal act that fuels a policy of aggression toward Serbs and other non-majority communities in Kosovo.

“What Kosovo* needs are not killer drones, but respect for the fundamental human rights of all citizens, normalization of relations, and economic development,” Djuric emphasized.

He noted that trust is difficult to build but, unfortunately, much easier to undermine.

“The decision of the Turkish authorities to deliver lethal weapons to Kurti’s regime pours fuel on the fire and is a prime example of malicious interference in regional affairs with destabilizing consequences. Serbia will have to take this move into account in its future actions,” the Serbian foreign minister stated.
