Grenell: Vjosa Osmani is lying; She will say anything for political survival

The Special Envoy of the President of the United States Donald Trump for special missions, Richard Grenell, stated that Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani is lying when she said that the Trump administration was the most pro-Kosovo U.S. administration and when she described Kosovo’s participation in the Peace Committee as a major achievement.

“She is lying. The Kurti–Osmani team has been a disaster and we can all clearly see it. She will say anything for her political survival,” Grenell wrote on the social network X.

Grenell made the remark in a post in which he attached excerpts from an interview Vjosa Osmani gave to the television station Syri, in which she said that the Trump administration was the most pro-Kosovo U.S. administration since the time of George Bush, when Kosovo declared independence.

Osmani stated that the Biden administration consistently demanded concessions from Kosovo in talks with Serbia, while the Trump administration supports Kosovo’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its membership in NATO without concessions.

Speaking about her meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Osmani said they discussed creating a concrete plan for Kosovo to be recognized by countries that do not currently recognize it, as well as assistance for Kosovo to join NATO.

Osmani also described Kosovo’s participation in the Peace Committee as a major achievement, saying that leaders from countries that do not recognize Kosovo told her that they can now consider recognizing it.

Osmani added that all of this had been achieved without spending money on lobbying.
