Haxhiu: Serb List remains a “ticking time bomb”
Kosovo’s Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, criticized opposition parties for what she described as the renewed political legitimization of the Serb List, which she called a "ticking time bomb in Kosovo."
"When lessons are not learned from mistakes, one can only be surprised by the manifestation of their wrong actions in due time. That is how the Serb List was created during the dialogue process—as Serbia’s political entity in Kosovo. They endlessly depended on this proxy of Belgrade, which manipulated every government, except for Kurti’s. The Serb List was and remains a ticking time bomb in our country," Haxhiu wrote in a Facebook post.
She emphasized that the opposition had the opportunity to prevent the political rehabilitation of the Serb List by refusing to certify its participation in the elections.
"The opposition once again had the opportunity to correct the mistake. They had the chance—and it was crucial—not to certify the Serb List for the elections as long as its vice president was the organizer and leader of the attack in Banjska and had never distanced himself from that event. But they raised their hands and confirmed it. Thus, from one mistake to another, without understanding the vital importance of proper, national, and historic action," she stressed.
