Hoxhaj: Kosovo paralyzed and divided, lifting EU measures pointless at this moment

Kosovo MP and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj, stated that Kosovo is facing a deep political crisis that “seems to have no end” and assessed that lifting European Union measures at this moment would be pointless.

“Because of the political crisis, which seems to have no end, Kosovo is as much paralyzed as it is divided, without a shared sense of purpose and without an idea that unites it. This threatens the loss of the only hope for dynamic action in protecting the state interest in a world that is becoming increasingly insecure and full of risks with each passing day,” Hoxhaj wrote on Facebook.

As he added, therefore, even lifting EU measures today would be meaningless.

“That is why lifting EU measures today is without value and without meaning, just as they were harmful and pointless when they were introduced,” Hoxhaj stated.
