Political analyst Dorajet Imeri stated that the warning from Head of the EU Mission Aivo Orav to acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti is “proof of the urgency” of forming institutions in Kosovo, as well as a reminder that, for the sake of its “European future,” it is essential to preserve partnership and cooperation with Brussels.

“The letter sent to the government by the European Union representative is a call for Kosovo’s institutions—particularly the Assembly and the Government—to be constituted as soon as possible. It is necessary for political parties to demonstrate readiness for agreement and to complete the institutional framework without delay,” Imeri told Kosova Press.

In his letter to acting Prime Minister Kurti, EU Mission Head Aivo Orav announced that EU representatives will no longer attend meetings with him or other ministers until a government with a full mandate is formed.

Imeri emphasized that for Kosovo, maintaining strong ties with Brussels is indispensable.

“Kosovo and the EU are strategic partners. Aware of its European future, Kosovo must understand that preserving this partnership and cooperation at the highest level is a necessity,” Imeri underlined.
