Jevtic: The aim of Kurti’s actions is the expulsion of Serbs from Kosovo

Serb List Vice President Dalibor Jevtic told Newsmax Balkans that the latest actions by institutions in Pristina are part of a policy aimed at intimidating and expelling Serbs from Kosovo, adding that the pressure also extends to visits to Serbian religious sites.

“Everything that the authorities in Pristina are implementing through various political decisions is aimed at intimidating and expelling the Serbian population. Now efforts are also being made to discourage Serbs from even visiting their own religious sites, and all of this speaks clearly about the current situation, the way of life, and the position of the Serbian people,” Jevtic emphasized.

He said that Pristina’s goal is clear, but that Serbs are uncertain whether Albin Kurti has the support of the international community for his actions.

“We have no doubts when it comes to Albin Kurti, we know what his goals are. What we are uncertain about is whether he has the support of the international community for what he is doing,” Jevtic said.

The Serb List official said that the Serbian people in Kosovo are currently living in a system where, as he claims, there is no justice for Serbs, but rather they are being arrested, detained, and declared guilty in advance.

“We have a situation where, during the celebration of the Feast of the Holy Archangels in Prizren, Serbs are being searched, even babies in strollers, and restrictions are being placed on which songs may be sung. All of this clearly confirms to us that Kurti is now implementing what he spoke about and what he wrote in his party program,” Jevtic concluded.

Newsmax recalls that Pristina authorities began demolishing holiday homes and hospitality facilities on Lake Gazivode several days ago, whose owners are Serbs. At the same time, according to the outlet, several Serbs from Zubin Potok were arrested over alleged war crimes, while on August 1 a law entered into force requiring all tourist tours to have a licensed tourist guide from Kosovo. According to Serb List, this will affect visits by believers to the Serbian Orthodox Church’s religious sites in Kosovo.
